You should follow our safeguarding policy.
If a child asks you to keep a secret you cannot make any promises to the child as if the child encloses sensitive information you have a duty to report it.
You should then listen to the secret and judge the severity of it. The majority of the time it will something silly however it may well turn out to be a cause for concern.
At this point you should make a note and write down everything the child has said and report it to your companies Safeguarding Officer which is Chaz.
Chaz can then review and assess and take further should it be necessary.
You should then fill out an incident report form and report it in your session review.
